When I was growing up in VA, a snowy night like this would have had us glued to the TV, waiting for the ticker across the bottom of the screen to announce school closing.
Wouldn't it be nice to flick on the tube, and see that plain white type, no fancy graphics, just plain type scrolling across the bottom of the screen, WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: "YOUR COMPANY HERE" CLOSED
